   Shannxi Foreign Languages Academy was established in 1993 with the approval of Shaanxi Provincial Educational Commission. It is a full-time foreign languages institution of higher education. It is a specified institute for American Global Volunteers Teaching Program. It has received more than 30 American Global Volunteers for 15 times. It is also a workstation for Overseas Studies Program of Shaanxi Provincial International Exchange Center. It is situated in the New Area of Xi'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, southern suburbs of Xi'an, covering an area of 80 Mu and a floor area of 30,000m2. Shaanxi Foreign Languages Academy has its first-class teaching facilities, peaceful and serene environment, and strong cultural atmosphere, thus an ideal place for students to make further studies and acquire knowledge.
   The academy is ranked among the few good institutions of higher learning in terms of teaching quality and scientific management. It has been given the honorary title of “the Top Private Colleges and Universities” through competitive and strict evaluation by Shaanxi Provincial Educational Commission. Through over 10 years of development and expansion, the academy has formed its own characteristics of management. Such mass media as China Daily, China Youth, Shaanxi Daily, Radio Stations and TV Stations of Shaanxi Province and Xi'an City have reported the good teaching quality and teaching facilities.
   Since it's founding over 10 years ago, the college is focused on foreign language teaching for advanced learners and supplemented with other academic courses.
